My name is Samantha Nicholson
Meet Sam
I’m Sam — founder of Sam’s Lift Lab, certified personal trainer, functional movement specialist and national-level natural bikini bodybuilder with 6 gold medals 3 silver, an IDFA Pro Card, and over a decade of experience helping people build real strength from the inside out.
But this wasn’t a straight line.
Like many in the fitness space, I started by doing everything I was told was right — and still dealt with hormonal issues, inflammation, burnout, and stalled progress from cookie-cutter plans that didn’t respect how my body actually functioned. I coached myself through my first competitions, learned the hard way what doesn’t work, and eventually discovered how powerful the right coaching, structure, and support can be — especially during high-stress seasons, setbacks, and major life transitions.
That experience shaped how I coach today.
How I Coach
My approach is science-backed, no-nonsense, and highly individualized. I blend principles of kinesiology, psychology, functional movement therapy, and rehabilitation-informed training with years of hands-on experience coaching competitors, military professionals, and everyday athletes who want to take control of their bodies again.
I don’t coach aesthetics in isolation.
I coach performance, function, resilience, and longevity — because a body that moves well, recovers well, and adapts well will always look better long-term.
